Well since my laptop is out of warranty they offered to repair it at the discounted price of $300.00. Wow...now I see why these laptops have this issue...it helps generate money for HP. I ordered the part to fix it myself for 90 dollars on Amazon. My question is why would I spend 300 dollars for HP to fix it when this same issue will probably happen again after it is repaired. This hinge problem has been common with HP computers for at least 10 years now. Google it and you will see. I have started a group on social media to discuss complaints on HP.

HP Recommended

I have repaired my laptop with no help from HP. It cost me about 150 in parts., That is okay as I canceled my HP instant Ink and actually ordered a printer from another manufacturer. I am determined to not give HP another dollar of my money.
