Product: HP Notebook - 17-ca1061nr
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The hinges are failing on my HP Notebook - 17-ca1061nr. At this point I need to plug the charger into it while opening to prevent the back case from separating. This seems to be a common, well documented problem with these laptops. Mine is out of warranty. I just priced replacement laptops but why replace when the hinges are the only problem? Please advise what options there are to remedy this problem. I found some on Amazon but they are not HP products and had many of them returned. Thank you for your time and assistance.

See the service manual on page 21 and note the number of hinge parts and then make a search on the internet for a reseller.
