HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0056wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This is another hinge complaint. The hinges have tightened up so much that when I opened up the cover, the top cover nets and screws broke off its foundation, sending broken pieces of plastic and metal nuts all over the table. The benzel warped as the top pulled away from the hinges.

What is wrong with this product?  I WOULD SAY THIS IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND SHOULD BE COVERED BY THE MANUFACTURER.  Looks like this is a common problem with this laptop, as I read complaints from others.  My laptop has never been dropped, abused and does not even have a scratch on it.

The hinges are now so tight, that they will not even close. Instead of closing, it pulled all the screws and nuts out of it's plastic foundation. I took the laptop apart, removed the hinges and discovered that I cannot rotate either hinge. No wonder it pulled away from the top.  How do I contact someone who cares?
