As soon as I upgraded my laptop to Windows 10 Pro my fingerprint scan stopped working. It's already been a while since then but it was so convenient before. Now, I think it has to do to not able to run ProtectTools after the upgrade but I am not 100% sure. It was originally running Windows 7. HP Support website doesn't provide any driver updates Windows 8.1 being the latest. I'm really stuck trying to figure out what is the problem. Can somebody please help me.
Thanks

Hi:
Uninstall the HP Protect Tools Security Manager software if you have not done so already, and install the software that is the successor to Protect Tools, which is the HP Client Security Manager software.
This software should allow you to enroll your fingerprint for logon purposes.
This is the W10 version below...
HP Client Security Manager provides enhanced Windows login and website single-sign-on capabilities. Security Manager is also the host for HP Client Security plugins, and therefore should be installed before other Client Security modules. This package is provided for supported models running a supported operating system.
