Hi:

If your 250 G6 has one of the 7th generation Intel core processors, you can install 2 x 8 GB of memory in your notebook, and some folks state you can even install 2 x 16 GB of memory in your notebook, but the official HP spec is 2 x 8 GB.

The processor your notebook has can only run the memory at 2133 MHz, but most folks buy 2400 MHz memory because it is readily available and will just 'downclock' or 'bridge' to 2133 MHz.

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the memory removal and replacement procedure.

Here is the link to the Crucial, EU memory/SSD report for your model which offers compatible memory and SSD's for sale.

The service manual indicates that only M.2 SATA SSD's are supported, not NVMe.  The crucial report list both types.

From the memory kits listed, if you want to install 2 x 8 GB, I recommend you buy two of these...

Hi:

You can install 2 x 8 GB with the i3 processor as well.
