Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!

I have a terrible question.. How much RAM can i Add on my Notebook?

This notebook have by default 4GB and 2 slot.
I try to add 8GB in one slot and in other use the 4GB but the OS can't start.

I try to remove the 4GB in slot1 and add 8GB in slot1 and the OS start.

My question is, what is the maximum RAM the motherboard support?

Maximum installed memory is 16 GB.

https://eu.crucial.com/eur/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP---Compaq/hp-15-ac186nl

 

Install memory either in a single slot or put identical guaranteed compatible memory modules in both slots.

 

Do not put modules of different storage capacities in both slots. You now know what can happen.
