HP Pavilion dv7-3160us
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello HP people.  I want to to add an SSD along with the existing HHD in my laptop.  Obviously I have the connections necessary for the HHD, however, I do not see any way to connect a second drive in the second bay. I have a manual that fits my machine to a "T" but it says nothing about hooking a drive up in the second bay.  There are two or three 17" laptops that have different drive covers on the bottom of the computer.  Mine has the two piece covers.  Below are all the specs on my machine.

Thank you in advance
K.R.M.

Hi,

Take a look at this manual on page 23.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01859261

There should be a drive cable that connect from drive to the motherboard in lower right corner.(page 24)

Hope it helps,

David
