Your machine is an HP ENVY x360 - m6-aq105dx, its specs
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05315774
It has
- 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (HP Sleep and Charge);
- 1 USB 3.1 (Type-C™);
- 1 HDMI;
- 1 headphone/microphone combo.
You can NOT use its USB-C port to charge your machine.
It can sleep and charge means it can charge your phone, tablet using USB-C port when it sleeps. Same as other USB-A port.
Regards.

So it does support DP Alt mode?
That just says it provides DisplayPort output. I'm told that it does not necessarily mean it supports DP Alt mode.
I have an HP USB-C travel hub G2 and when I plug it into the laptop's USB-C port and a monitor into the HDMI port on the hub I don't get a signal at the monitor.

Product introduced 2016
It might not...
I finally found the data I was searching for earlier - and that source does not confirm the Display Port connection type.
The User Guide and Service Guide are not in complete agreement (details) - this can happen when models within a series might be different. It can also happen as a result of errors in the documentation. ?
I might have botched this answer - can you assist?
For the moment, based on what I can find now, my answer is No.
