Hp has my complete model number and serial number but say they cannot provide the specs. I got the motherboard number and manufacturer—hp 89f6–before the laptop completely lost power. Hp parts store does not have any parts for this laptop, only accessories, so I cannot get a part number. Where can I buy a motherboard?

If you enter your notebook's product number in the search window at the link below, it should provide the motherboard part number and description.
If you don't have the product number, enter the serial number.
HP doesn't sell many motherboards and if they do you will pay a lot of money.
You can search by the HP motherboard part you need at the link below and hp 89f6 is most likely not going to help you.
If nothing at all helps and you at least know the basic specs for your notebook (processor model and graphics), here is a list of many 15-eg2000 product numbers which shows the available motherboards and part numbers.
You can ignore the product numbers that end in 'R'.
The 'R' stands for refurbished.
If HP doesn't sell the motherboard you need, you will have to search by the HP part number and find one from a 3rd party reseller.
