Product: Envy 17 Notebook 17-u011nr
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This is the result of the battery test.  How can I find out the model number for the replacement battery?    Where can I find the directions on how to replace this internal battery?  I appreciate any suggestions/assistance. 🙂  Product number: W2K87UA  -  Serial number: [edited]20180622_115009.jpg

Hi,

 

This is the battery you need:

 

3-cell, 41-WHr, 3.63-WHr, Li-ion                              part number   849314-856

 

You will have to try to find online as it is not available in HP parts store

The part number for the battery is 796356-005

You can try performing an online search with part number

Example:

On page 33 of the service manual, you can see the steps to replace the battery.
