HP EliteBook 8460p
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi. I have an Elitebook 8460p, with 8GB RAM and a core i7. This is a really great laptop, and i would love to be able to game on it. However, it uses integrated graphics (Intel HD graphics 3000), which is apparently really bad as I cannot play most games with good graphics, even at the worst quality settings. Is there any way I can get a better graphics card?

Hi:

You can't unless you replace the motherboard with one listed in the service manual that may come with better graphics.

Not only would that cost about as much as your notebook is worth, you couldn't run W10 on it because there are no Intel/AMD switchable graphics for W10 for the 8460p, and if you change the motherboard, you would need to buy a new license for Windows.

A totally bad investment IMHO.

Aw man, that sucks because an i7 is good and I got this computer used for cheap (like $150). Oh well. Thanks for your help though!
