My laptop just arrived back from repair. Without my knowledge, the hard drive was replaced. Can I get my old hard drive back? I am an author and all my work was on that old hard drive. Thanks

Sorry, but it should have been obvious to do backup of important files before sending the PC in for repair. Even if the PC was not working, we could have provide instructions for hooking the drive up to another PC to retrieve files and folders.

Uses laptop drivers are worth basically nothing, so HP most likely recycles them in bulk form. I would not hold out ANY hope for being able to get the drive back, now.

You can contact HP Customer Support, but I would not expect them to be able to find your drive for you.

Do you know how I can activate the 90 day warranty that came with the repair? The laptop is showing warranty expired yesterday, which was true. Thank you

The HP warranty does not cover data loss, so if you reactivation goal is intended to address that, you won't succeed.

Because my warranty is expired, I cannot talk to a Support Person. That is why I wanted to activate the 90 day warranty.
