Ok, so some of you may know that Windows 10 is a load of crap and when it's running on only 8GB of Ram one would think it will be fine until your watching videos all day/night or looking at Google Earth or even 3d modelling in either 3ds Max, Gmax, Blender or playing any games and all of a sudden this heap of rubbish so-called gaming laptop decides to go all glitchy until I restart it to clear the memory and load up whatever I was doing and then do it all over again
This laptop runs out of Ram like a fat kid scoffing down a hamberger and fries from McDonalds! So I unscrewed all the screws only to find out I can't even open the **bleep** thing
All I ask is Could HP please provide me instructions on how I can open this piece of garbage laptop so that I could do future cleaning for when it's out of Warranty to the interior and upgrade components such as Ram, with my old HP Pavilion laptop it was easy as to access components and do cleaning of it's interior, I just can't even get this laptop to open up!

Hi,
You are asking for a reply from volunteers in this Community which really like HP products and help others using HP products.
Anyway,
You can upgrade to max 32GB of DDR4 2666Mhz RAM (2x16GB) even if the service manual mentions 16GB.
You can purchase from your preferred brand such as Crucial, Corsair...
On page 43 of service manual you can see the steps to upgrade RAM:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05985643
Once you have removed the screws you need to use a plastic tool such as credit card to pry along between bottom and top to release the plastic hatches holding the two parts together. Another user mentioned the use of a suction cup to better pull on the back cover to release it.
Hope it helps,
David

Hi @KenderB
Yes. It is the same solution, as your laptop is from the same series.
Another upgrade you should consider is to add an M2 SSD to the machine which would greatly improve everyday performance. It supports SATA3 M2 SSD and much faster M2 PCIe NVMe SSDs such as the Samsung 970 Evo or similar.
Hope it helps,
David

Hi @KenderB
Yes. That should work. Another example:

Hi @Erion33
Your notebook has a Celeron CPU, so it only has one slot and supports max 8GB of DDR3L 1600Mhz
It has one slot, so you will need to replace the 4GB module with a 8GBmodule. You can buy from your preferred brand such as Crucial, Samsung...
Do not worry about double or single rank as it will make no difference.
Example of RAM:
https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/hp-15-f039wm#MEMORYFilters
On page 30 of service manual you can see the steps to replace the RAM

Hope it helps,
