Its specs: https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c05242566
Its motherboard Hamar: https://support.hp.com/ca-en/document/c05066299
which ONLY has
- One PCI-E (GEN 3) x16 socket
- One M.2 socket 1, key A (occupied by wifi card)
1. STORAGE: No M.2 slot for an M.2 SSD therefore you can REPLACE its existing HDD using 2.5" SATA-3 SSD drive. You need an adapter to convert 3.5" to 2.5" drive such as
StarTech.com 2.5” to 3.5” SATA Hard Drive
Any 2.5" SSD drives can do.
2. CPU: You can use the following list:
- TDP: 35 W
- Socket type: LGA 1151
- Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:ProcessorTDPIntegrated GraphicsIntel Core i7-6700T (Skylake) 2.8 GHz Quad Core35 WIntel HD Graphics (GT2)Intel Core i5-6400T (Skylake) 2.2 GHz Quad Core35 WIntel HD Graphics (GT2)Intel Core i3-6100T (Skylake) 3.2 GHz Dual Core35 WIntel HD Graphics 530Intel Pentium G4400T (Skylake) 2.9 GHz35 WIntel HD Graphics 510Intel Celeron G3900T (Skylake) 2.6 GHz35 WIntel HD Graphics 510
3. Trade in: I have not heard about that scheme.
Regards.
