Hi! I’ve just found an old Maxtor external hard drive, I know there are pictures/files on it that I’d like to be able to see. I have it plugged in so the green light is on, but as soon as I plug it into my HP laptop nothing comes up to indicate that I can view the files. The only thing that does show up is the small tab on the bottom right that says ‘safely remove hardware and eject media’, and it makes the little connected/disconnected sound when I plug it in and unplug it. If someone could help or give any suggestions on how I could view the files or access them that’d be great. Thanks!

Due to it could be an old drive, please try to connect it to a different USB port or a different computer.
