I had a Haier Laptop (Win 10) 2 years back which I had to sell at the time, but I kept my HDD (500GB) and now I have an Elitebook 8570p Core i5.
I have data in my older HDD and I want to access it and recover it, and i want to do so without losing any of it. I tried to boot it by connecting it with my Elitebook but I get an error, "BootDevice Not Found" etc.
Help needed 🙂

You do not need to boot from it to access the data on it. You can just hook it up with a usb to SATA adapter and copy and paste files off of it. If you want to save the running apps that is a bit harder. There are apps which will transfer all files and settings and apps off the old drive onto a new drive and let you run the same setup on another hardware platform.

This is one I have used successfully to transfer from a Windows 7 PC to a new Windows 10 installation. Its not free and you get a single use license but I can say it worked fine. This will even move the installation over from just a hard drive as opposed to a running computer.

You probably won't be able to boot it on the new laptop due to drivers and such but the best solution is to turn it into an external USB drive that you'll be able to access from any pc/laptop.
Thanks,

Thanks a ton Huffer and Yolomic123, I'll get my hands on one of those and get to it, and if I run into any issues I'll post it here. In the meantime thanks to all of you for guiding me, highly appreciated 🙏🏻🙏🏻
