I have a newly-bought HP Envy x360.

 

The webcam shutter key on the keyboard is incredibly sensitive. It activates whenever I press backspace, and whenever I vibrate the table a little too much. I would like the key to be disabled, so whenever I press the button, nothing happens to the webcam shutter and the annoying camera icon pop-up does not appear on the screen.

 

I tried various applications to remap or disable a key, but this shutter key appears to be special and cannot be accessed by these programs. Since I have an extra keyboard, I tried a keyboard-locking application, but with no luck: again, it had no effect on the troublesome key. I also tried going into the BIOS and disabling Action Keys. It doesn't seem like the webcam shutter key is recognized as an Action Key, so this was ineffective.

 

To emphasize how much of a problem this is, the webcam shutter key has been activated around one hundred times since I started typing this request. Please help!
