Product: HP Pavilion DV6
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

How do I find out the specific model number that appears after "HP Pavilion DV6" as it could be one of thirty of the HP Pavilion dv6-XXXX? I've tried the Serial Number and the Product Number "WW142AV" from the HP Support Assistant and it leads nowhere. Specs:  i5 M 580 @ 2.67, 8gb RAM and 700GB HHD (I don't know if those were upgraded). The "product sticker" is not on the laptop.

Try looking in the battery bay.

 

It will be somewhere in the dv6-2000 series. That range of models has always been a mishmash of overlapping manuals and general confusion for technicians.
