I recently moved back from living in Japan where I bought my HP ENVY 15-ep0001tx laptop and was hoping to replace the Japanese 2 prong wall plug with a 3 prong wall plug now that I'm back in the UK. However, whenever I look up the parts and my laptop through the HP Parts Store nothing comes up (I'm assuming it's because the laptop is a Japanese model). The charger itself is perfectly fine, but since I'm back here long term I'd like to avoid having to use an adapter whenever I charge my laptop. How can I make sure that I find a compatible power cord?
For reference, the HP Parts Number for the charger is L00895-003, replacement number L00818-850(with these specifications: 200W, 100-240V, ~3.0A, 50-60Hz), while the cord I want to replace with a UK version has the number 653326-006. Not sure if this information is necessary but the cord has 300V 0.75mm² written on it.

You're very welcome, and thanks for letting me know the difference between the connectors.
I have never seen a notebook power adapter that has a C13 input.
Those are usually found on desktop PC's and monitors.
Perhaps you can just buy a generic UK C13 PC power cord and use that until HP has the part you need for sale.

Hi:
Chapter 3, page 20 of the maintenance and service guide on your notebook model series' support page indicates that the power cord you need for use in the UK is:
For use in the United Kingdom L22332-001
HP ENVY 15-ep0000 Laptop PC series Manuals | HP® Customer Support
It is not yet available for purchase according to the HP parts website.
HP Parts Store - HP Computer Parts - HP Printer Parts - Compaq Parts
However, the list of other power cords listed on page 21, shows that part number is available.
However, I have no idea what the difference could be.
For use in the United Kingdom L22320-001
HP Parts Store - HP Computer Parts - HP Printer Parts - Compaq Parts
The power cord that came with your PC was on the list on page 20.

Thanks so much for your quick response! It seems that the difference between the two power cords is the type of connector it has. I did a quick google to see what the difference is between C5 vs C13, and unfortunately my AC adapter requires C13 which is the one that isn't available.
This is the image I found:
Sorry to ask for more, but do you know if there are any other options? Or will I just have to persevere with a JP to UK plug adapter?

That's a great idea, and I'm a little embarrassed that I didn't even think of that! I'm not sure what kind of differences there are between the HP power cords and the generic ones but I'll try and have a more thorough look before deciding on one.
Thanks again!

Anytime.
Glad to have been of assistance.
Sometimes the HP cords may be three insulated wires separately instead of all three in one 'tube.'
That provides for a little more flexibility when you want to pack up the charger for a trip.
The cord I posted from Amazon seems to meet or exceed any of the electrical requirements (wattage, amperage, etc).
