HP 14-cf2000 Laptop PC (552L9AV)

I accidentally spilled water on the mousepad area of my laptop, and not only is the mousepad not working, the computer does not properly boot up anymore, and just leaves me on the “HP” logo part of the screen. I can fix this by myself or do I need to bring it in?

Unplug the laptop  and leave it be until it can be inspected by a service Engineer or laptop technician.

From your description, the news you get after the inspection is not going to be good.

Water and electronics devices are enemies.

Just a heads up, that kind of damage is considered customer induced.

The repair costs will not be covered under the  warranty unless you have an active  HP Care package that covers accidental damage.
