So I'm using the hp pavilion notebook 15-au193cl and anytime I Google my laptop i always see that my processor could be at 3.1GHz but it is at 2.5GHz. How do I increase it to 3.1 GHz. Please help. Thanks.

That is its maximum turbo speed and is controlled by the hardware it is not possible to manually adjust it. It will burst to 3.1 ghz briefly when it experiences tough going. There is an Intel app you can download that will show you when it does that.
