My laptop doesn't  charge battery. But it works fine on direct a.c. power supply using adapter.

Is it possible  that charging  ic has any problems? Or the motherboard?

Or is it just the damaged battery?

Please answer anything you can think. Big help, always. At least I can get some clues.

Hello @Arvind5233,

You could try using the HP UEFI Diagnostics to verify any hardware issue:

  1. Repeatedly press Esc upon startup
  2. Select F2 (System Diagnostics)
  3. Select the desired language
  4. Navigate to component tests
  5. Select Battery and Motherboard

Note that the above steps may vary depending on the configuration and some tests may not be available.

Have you also tried a power reset yet? Let us know how everything goes.

Best regards,

Eddy

 Thanks for replying, Sir.

This uefi diagnosis test failed for battery. System board test passed , but it didn't check charging circuit i think. Ac adaptor test passed.

What does this charging state: blown fuse mean?

I tried power reset, didn't work.
