Greetings,

Well i changed mine to an SSD but when i get it ON Bios read the DISK but it says after running system , NOT INSTALLED.

can you tell me what i can do about it ? on Bios it appears as present but even on memory check says always on a black screen  please install HD . how can i do that if the only thing that i get access is BIOS\BOOT screen with no option or boot menu to run memory test.

Thanks

I searched on crucial.com & could find compatible upgrades. Just wanted to know if my laptop has space for both SSD as well as HDD?

Is this your pc..

if it is u will notice that it only has one bay for either an ssd or harddrive.. But u can get a harddrive caddy to replace the cd rom drive but remember what ever u do u need to start from scratch because u want the SSD as the main windows boot drive that will make ur pc much faster.. here is what i mean by a harddrive cdrom caddy adapter thingy u have to search for ur exact model that fits yours if u decide to do this..

Yep, that's my laptop. Thank you so much for the information. Why do I have to start fresh? Can't I clone my HDD to SSD (using an external USB connector for SSD) & replace HDD with SSD followed by putting my HDD in place of CD drive using the caddy adaptor.

Trust me ..clean installs always come out better.. I know its alot more work but worth it.. in my opinion u should do a clean install of windows every year u will always see a performance advantage.. if u dont know the windows product key download and run a small program called produkey it will tell u ur windows install key.. and search for how to make a windows 10 usb install drive u can do that off your pc before u start ur new road..

yes, you can use an external USB connector to clone to a SSD, I do that all the time, works great.  Use Macrium to do the deed, I find it to be one of the best...then do the swap in...
