I recently purchased a RAM and SSD upgrade from Crucial specifically for my laptop. The RAM took seconds to swap out. However, I cannot find the SSD to replace anywhere. Can anyone assist? My laptop came standard with a 65Gb SSD and I have purchased a 500Gb SSD.

Hi,
The actual model number is HP Laptop 14-cm0038na
You are not seeing the HDD or SSD because the notebook has a 64GB eMMC chip which is integrated on the motherboard.
I do not think that you can upgrade to a 2.5" SATA3 SSD, however, you can take a look and see if the slot is present on the motherboard. Usually the low power machines with eMMC cards have not slots on motherboard to upgrade storage.
This is what it should look like
if the slot is there you will need:
The hard drive cable has part number L23187-001
The hard drive cover has part number L23219-001
Example:

You can also use some thin foamy double-sided tape if you can not find a cover.
On page 37 of service manual you can see the steps to install the drive

Hope it helps,
