I've recently brought a hp 14-dk0008na laptop and wanted to find out how I upgrade the RAM.
I'm looking to go from 8gb to 16gb. I can find very little information online not sure if it's a newer laptop or something.
This is the product page:
https://www8.hp.com/uk/en/laptops/product-details/29905899
On the support assistant program it currently says I have 2 memory slots with 4gb Samsung 24000MHz. I would like to know how I can upgrade the RAM for this laptop or where I can go to find it as the HP site only give very broad knowledge to be applied to all of the hp laptops.
Thank you

You need to look on to page #2 of the second last manual on the following link

Hi,
Your notebook will support max 32GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM (2x16GB) even if the service manual mentions 16GB.
Example of RAM:
https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/hp-14-dk0008nf#MEMORYFilters
At the moment you have 2x4GB. On page 42 of service manual, you can see the steps to install the RAM

Hope it helps,
David

@lomare
Thank you this is very helpful I did try to get on the crucial site but it couldn't find it when I looked.
In regards to RAM size I only really need 16gb right now however, is there any drawbacks to buying one 16gb stick right now and using it alongside one of the 4gb ones so I have the option to upgrade later.
Thank you

No. That will work fine and will give a boost to performance. 20GB of RAM should be enough for anything you need to do on the notebook.
