HP Recommended

Apparently, the HP-G2 dock has DisplayLink. My laptop does not have thunderbolt or DP-ALT MODE (it is a HP-dy2xxx), so DisplayLink is the only option. When I connect via USB-C, my laptop does not detect it. When I use USB-C to USB-A, my laptop STILL does not detect it. I have the DisplayLink drivers. I called HP support, nothing. Please help me; I can't figure this out.
