How do I use the additional 1 TB SSD on my notebook? My primary hard drive is almost full and it says I need to run Storage Sense.

The bigger one is empty because you've not saved anything to it, or moved anything from the smaller drive to it.

The smaller drive is filling up because your DEFAULT save locations are set to the smaller drive  You have to CHANGE them to point to the larger drive. You can also move your PERSONAL files to the larger drive and change the default location to that same drive.  Here is information on that:  https://www.windowscentral.com/how-move-default-user-folders-new-drive-windows-10

You also are limited that applications will automatically install on the smaller drive unless you take special steps to have them install on the larger drive.  Some apps will allow you to select the target drive, others will not.

First of all, "storage sense" is the dumbed-down version of Disk Cleaner that you SHOULD run.  This newer version has less options and removes less junk than that older version.

Second, here are some things you can do to recover some of the disk space:

http://winaero.com/blog/how-to-clean-up-winsxs-folder-in-windows-10/

Also, the community Win10 Forums has the following suggestions:
https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/83441-free-up-drive-space-windows-10-a.html

In addition, I have found the utility Cleanmgr+ to have LOTS of options for removing Windows junk, including log files. I use it practically every day. You can get it from here: https://www.getclone.app/download/category/11-cleanmgr

Also, there is a freeware app known as Wise Disk Cleaner. I use it every day to get rid of junk files: https://www.wisecleaner.com/wise-disk-cleaner.html

I think I might have incorrectly worded my question. I have a main hard drive, disk 1, (C:/) 128 GB, that has all my programs but the other drive, disk 2, (D:/) 1 TB, is empty. Drive D:/ is the bigger drive, why is it empty? And why does the computer try to cram everything onto the smaller drive and then tell me I am running low on drive space, (DOOM Eternal's fault)?
