Hi @Mani_Volanti,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand you’re having trouble typing the “<” (less than) symbol on your HP Victus laptop. This usually depends on the keyboard layout and region settings. Here’s how to type it:
1. Standard US / English Keyboard
Press Shift + comma (,) → this should type “<”.
Press Shift + period (.) → this types “>”.
2. If using a different keyboard layout
Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region > Keyboard.
Check which layout is active (e.g., US QWERTY, UK QWERTY, or another language).
Some layouts (like certain European ones) may require AltGr + key to type symbols.
3. Use Alt Code (Numeric Keypad)
Hold Alt and type 60 on the numeric keypad → outputs “<”.
Note: This works only if your laptop has a numeric keypad or Num Lock is enabled on the number keys.
4. Use On-Screen Keyboard
Press Windows + Ctrl + O to open the on-screen keyboard.
Click Shift, then click the “<” key on the virtual keyboard.
I hope this helps.
