HP Spectre Y4P52AV
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I purchased a 3 year warranty/Care Pack with my HP Spectre x360 (Y4P52AV), and it expired in April, having never used it.  It was supposed to have a "Risk Free HP Care Pack Rebate", and I had assumed the rebate would be automatic since they have all of my info, but I never received anything.  How do you submit to get the rebate?  I was able to use google to find a form, but it doesn't seem to list my laptop (Y4P52AV).

Thanks!

@DocJosh

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know how to submit a request to get a refund for the care pack warranty.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you contact support and they will assist you in this regard.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

i bought an extended carepak warranty that expired a few months ago. i did not use it. i called HP at 800-474-6836. a rep verified my info and said to call 1-888-385-5410 or visit www.hp.com/go/offercenter.   i called the number and got a message saying i was being transferred. then a male voice came on saying "no routes found."

i went to the website. it is hp's "global promotion services."

i used a drop down menu on a general hp home page to "contact us" and the only option was a virtual agent, that did not understand my question no matter how many times i rephrased it. finally i  entered "human being" and was rewarded with "great! i can connect you to an agent." instead it looked up my warranty and posted a box to connect to the hp support community.

this is immensely frustrating.

how do i get my rebate?????

Sounds very similar to what I went through, including being referred to a number that just repeats "no routes found."  if money wasn't on the line it would be hilarious how hard it is to get support help once your warranty expires; and of course in this case we had to wait until the warranty expired before we could do anything.  Unfortunately, hunting all this down took so long that I'm now apparently outside of the rebate window, which noone told me about when I bought the care pack. I'm hoping that they'll still honor it on appeal, but inially my rebate has been rejected.

So much for "no risk". I'm not sure why HP needs us to go through a rebate process anyway, they already have all of our info and know if we have used the warranty. It seems like it should be easy enough to either automatically issue the rebate, or at least automatically notify people how to get the rebate at the time it expires. This whole process that HP has instituted doesn't seem entirely honest.

thank you for replying. i agree that it shoudlnt be this hard to get what was promised to us when we bought the product. this si especially vexing  in times like we are living.

i will work on it some more.  can you tell me, what is the rebate window?  have you made an appeal yet?  the email i received from HP when i bought the care pack didnt say that the purchaser had only X days to apply for a refund.

thanks again, and good luck.

As we've both noted above, this is essentially useless.

It was something like 3 months. I'm waiting to hear back now, it's only been a couple of days.
