HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-fd0000 (9R7K6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I recently purchased HP 15-fd0070TU (A47CXPA#ACJ) with 8 GB RAM.

I want to know

  1. How many RAM slots I have
  2. Maximum RAM it can support

If I want to upgrade to 16GB. Should I have to remove the existing 8GB and then buy a new 16GB RAM or can I add a 8GB additionally to get 16GB?

Below is the link to the service manual.

Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade information:

Maintenance and Service Guide

According to the HP specs, it came configured with 1 x 8 GB of DDR4-3200 MHz memory, so you can add a single 8 GB DDR4-3200 CL22 memory chip in the empty slot.
