The primary difference between SSD and HDD is that SSDs are faster and more expensive than HDD whereas HDDs are slower and a bit inexpensive.

Hi:

 

Along with the standard SATA 2.5" mechanical hard drive connection, there is a M.2 slot that supports NVMe SSD's.

This manual should also be good for your model.  The supported drive types can be found in chapter 1.
