My pc is Hp pavilion 14ce0988nl. I would like to know how many memory slots the motherboard supports.
With the command from cmd "wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx" I saw that a maximum of 16gb ram is supported and I currently have 8gb, but I can't find the number of slots on the motherboard.
Since I would like to expand the memory to 16gb I don't know if I have to buy a 16gb module or if another 8gb module is sufficient if there are two slots.
I didn't find anything in the manual.

Hi @px84125
You only need to buy an 8 GB DDR4-2400 memory, in order to have 16 GB. The device has two slots, one of which is occupied by 8 GB.

Grazie mille per la risposta. Ero anche curioso di sapere come ottenere questa informazione senza smontare il pc.
Thank you very much for your reply. I was also curious to know how to get this information without disassembling the pc.

Sorry Resistencia but from a check with cpu-z I had these results:
DMI Physical Memory Array,
location Motherboard
usage System Memory
correction None
max capacity 16 GB
max# of devices 1
So it seems that there is only one slot.
What do you think?
