HP Pavilion 15-n243cl Notebook PC

The notebook is running Windows 8.1.  I have a Windows 10 install image on a  USB flash drive, and I am not sure what I have to do to get a boot to see the flash drive and begin the Windows 10 installation.  I tried one option, but it produced a "no label" error message.  Thanks.

Do you have a W10 product key?

The free upgrade to W10 has ended and if you install W10, it will need to be activated.

To boot from the W10 installation media have it plugged into your notebook's USB port.

Turn on or restart the PC.

Immediately tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.

Select the F9 boot options menu and from that, select the EFI USB flash drive and press the Enter key.

The PC should boot from the W10 installation flash drive.

I bought a W10 license key a few months ago.  I tried what you wrote, and I get a message:

NO VOLUME LABEL.

[Acpi|(PNP0A03,0)/Pci(11|0)/Ata(Primary,<aster)/HD(Part2,SigF59B99F9-F93E-4ACB-9014-DD644ED5CA87)]

I am not sure that I have exactly transcribed the second line of the error message.  I have not researched the  first line of the message.  Thanks.

You're very welcome.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know what the problem could be, and don't have any other suggestions for you to try.
