Hello Support Community.
I have an Omen Laptop, 17T-W200, X7N74AV, whose battery has swollen and needs to be replaced.
The battery is labeled: "Replace with HP Spare 853294-855, CT: 6FSTH06TZ608MN, Mfg Date: 2017/01"
I have searched the HP Store's Parts Library, and there is no mention of any replacement battery for my laptop (even though most of the other parts are still listed as available for purchase).
How do I find a QUALITY replacement for my battery?
I don't want to buy a "refurbished" battery.
I don't want to buy any other such "scammer provided" battery.
I want a battery that will last at least 4 years (>10 years without swelling would be great).
How do I know who is who on Amazon (or any other online store)?
Can anyone help?

A little tough love and advice here. Nobody is going to guarantee you 4 years of battery life. Nobody. There is a reason HP only warrants batteries for a year. HP and every other laptop maker. Lithium ion is a great technology but its still far from under complete control. The manufacturing process generates a product with a wide spectrum of lifespan. And its put into the hands of end users in many different environments and with widely variable computer skills and attention to best practices. So the best we can offer is to point you to the highest rated "Prime" battery sellers on amazon and eBay and online battery shops. The better sellers are honorable merchants and will stand behind the product.
HP only sells replacement batteries in its online stores for about a year or so after the product is introduced at retail. So you are not going to find a battery to buy directly from HP. Here is the Manual:
Pages 33-36 show "how to".
4.5 star Amazon Prime seller:
You got a 4 year life out of the original battery which is pretty good. You can expect to get somewhere between 2 and 4 years out of the replacement, maybe a bit more. Good luck.
