Spectre x360 Convertible 15-df0033dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've read multiple manuals and forums about different Spectre models but I don't think anyone has had the same issue. The manual that came closest to my model was http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06422405, and it states there are screws underneath the rubber footings. However, my computer does not have any screws underneath the rubber footings. There are only 2 screws in the middle of both sides of the back cover. How do I take off the back cover for the df0033dx?

Maybe the adhesive hides the screw heads?

YES! That was it! Apparently, I only took off the top layer of rubber and didn't notice there was a black, second layer that is almost hidden and hard to take off. I can now see the screws. Thank you! I am both furious and impressed by the engineering on this machine 😅.

Prego.

A metal detector may should be included in the instructions.
