Two memory slots, a 2.5 inch bay and an M.2 slot are available. This is the Service Manual:

Start on p. 31 for how to help. What exactly do you have by way of specs and where do you want to go?

I did find some compatible ram modules at crucial.com, but not 100% sure though-I read a few reviews at best buy saying that the extra ram slot does not work for reason. Also, I've been searching for ribbon cable part number for the 2.5 inch drive(page 54 on the manual), but can't find the part number on the manual or anywhere else. Thank you very much for your help.

I had asked for the specs of the laptop or better yet the exact model or HP Part No.

This will tell us what is possible. Also it would help if you tell us what exact Crucial memory you are looking at. Crucial has a compatibility page by model and if you buy it from there they will guarantee it works.

The Manual seems to utterly ignore specifics on the hard drive while suggesting you can have one. Sorry I have no more information on that.
