I have a HP EliteBook 840 G1, I am trying to change my cpu and don’t wanna strew it up. How do I change it to a 9th generation intel premium core without breaking up my pc.

Upgrading the processor is not in the cards for you. unless you replace the motherboard with one that comes with a better processor than yours has now.

 

The only motherboards you can install are listed in chapter 3 of the service manual at the link below.
