HI everyone,

I recently bought a 3rd monitor (32" Samsung 1080p) as well as a Volkano USB type-C adapter that i can connect a VGA and/or HDMI cable into.

Up till now I have been using my main monitor (27" Asus1080p 144hz) and my secondary (19" Samsung 1600x900) connected directly into the HDMI and VGA ports respectively as well as the laptop screen.

Now to the issue, I have tested the Volkano device and it works, if I connect any 2 of my 3 monitors in ANY configuration (i.e. 2 into the Volkano device, HDMI into Volkano  and VGA directly or the other way around) everything works, but if i connect the 3rd monitor it does not get detected.

I believe that the issue is that i cant use 2 of the same connection (i.e. 2 HDMI and a VGA or 2 VGA and 1 HDMI) as when I tried this, the last monitor plugged in was never found.

Ive tried disabling integrated graphics but in that case only my laptop screen worked. I have also closed the laptop screen to see if it is that only three screens can be used once again only 2 of my extra monitors was detected.

Any help would be appreciated!

You can connect 2 monitors using HDMI and VGA port. If you wish to connect to 3 monitors you have to use a dock. Is your Volkano dock DisplayLink Certified ?

If it is not, is that defiantly the problem? as even if i only connect monitors using it those two monitors work correctly
