Hi I currently have 8gig DDR4 3200mz but am always running out of memory. The HP support site is/was no help (may be me 🙂 ) using product name or serial number. Is there any way to determine max memory allowed per stick? Thanks

You're very welcome.

Yes, 32 GB would be correct.

Do you know if your notebook has two memory slots?

It normally would if it has an Intel Core processor or AMD Ryzen processor.

The 32 GB is spread across the number of memory slots.

Two slots = 2 x 16 GB of memory.

Hi:

If you want to see if your notebook can support more than 1 x 8 GB of memory, you can run this command in Windows Powershell as administrator:

Get-CimInstance -ClassName Win32_PhysicalMemoryArray | Select-Object MaxCapacityEx, MemoryDevices

Thank you! What I got was

33554432 Mebibytes = 32768 Gibibytes or 32gig

Does that look correct? Thank you so much!
