Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My friend and I have the same type of laptop with the same configurations and same type of adaptor.

so we mistakenly mixed up our chargers (adaptors) together, please how do I know which one is mine??

is there like a unique number linking my adaptor to my laptop or battery?

please help.

unlike a car where components have the same VIN, adapters are not linked. If they are identical with the same model number it should not make a difference anyway so why worry about it. If they have different part numbers on them, go to Support.HP.com and download the maintenance and service guide for your laptop and check the part number for the power supply.
