Hi,

I have got two ports on the right hand side of the Notebook and one port on the left side, so, How do I know which is USB3 and which is USB2?

Furthermore, If I put a USB3 Memory Stick in a USB2 port or vice-e-versa will it harm the hardware of the notebook or the software on the memory stick?

Look forward to nhearing from you.

Regards,

Saeed

Saeed,

The single USB port on the left side of your model is the USB3 port.

Manual - Page 7:

Specs: http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04373628

Get a flashlight, point it at the bottom of the notebook along the edge next to the USB port
Look for "SS" - logo; "SS" USB denotes the SuperSpeed USB 3.0.

No "SS", then port is USB 2.0.

Also it'll not harm your hardware.
