I want to upgrade to larger ssd by cloning exisiting 256GB SSD to a new 1TB SSD. Turns out the new ssd is of nvme type, and the old one seems to be sata. Both m.2 form factor. Both fit in the connector on the motherboard, but the laptop can't find the 1TB nvme disk. Hw diagnostics doesn't see it (I.e. hp's diagnostic outside of windows). I guess it goes without saying that it doesn't boot with the 1TB nvme disc installed. Since it mechanically fits I assume I need enable nvme support some how. Any ideas anyone? Bios upgrade? Running ver F.14 today.

Hi,
Wow that was a quick response! I don't have access to the laptop right now, so I'll answer based on photos I have taken etc. I will follow the instructions in the link this evening (CET) and update if any new info is unveiled. In the mean time:
I thought 15-cd0xx is the model number? It is at least the "product name" according to BIOS. On the back of the laptop I find (in almost unreadably small font): Model: 15-cd004no.
The product number (according to BIOS) is 2BR84EA#UUW
I hope any of these numbers can help you help me...
Thanks,
Ali
