Im wondering if there is any whay for me to find out if my laptop can take one more ssd drive without opening it up,

The seller has this rule that reclamation is voided if I open the laptop up, and they could not answear me if the laptop has a second ssd slot.

Hi:

 

You have a HP OMEN 16-wd0828no notebook.

 

Below is the link to the service manual.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

 

There is only support for one M.2 SSD according to chapter 5.

 

Chapter 5, page 37 shows the removal and replacement procedure.

 

But if you look at chapter 6, it has motherboard illustrations showing two NVMe SSD slots on the left and right side of the notebook.

 

Also, if you look at this service teardown video, it does indicate that there are two NVMe SSD's, and even shows you how to remove both of them (if two were installed).

Based on the foregoing, I would say the notebook has support for two NVMe SSD's even though not specifically mentioned in the service manual.

 

Worst case scenario, you can always install a larger capacity NVMe SSD in place of the 512 GB one.

 

HP offered drives up to 2 TB in the model series according to chapter 1.
