Hello. I have a DV7 Pavillion that developed a problem. Technician said it needs system board replacement. Unfortunately the sticker under the RAM slots is missing and the computer wont power up. How can i find the part number? I tried searching the product specifications but it doesnt list the system board.
Can anyone help me? I sthere somewhere on system board itself where it is written?

Looking at the chipset is Socket 988 (rPGA988B) that corresponds to this, although please do not make mistakes to contact the technical service:

HI.
It would be necessary to know more data since there are enough motherboard for this model, as type of processor, if you have an integrated or dedicated graphics, I leave the manual where it specifies on page 26, section 13 all available motherboards.

Enter the serial number here and see if the parts come out:

Hi Grad Student, thanks for the response. I tried http://partsurfer.hp.com/ but it doesn't return any results for my serial number. I also checked the manual but it seems it doesn't list my processor.
My laptop has an Intel i7 processor if that will help. Am not sure whether it's integrated or dedicated graphics but it's Radeon Graphics.
Is there somewhere it is imprinted on, on the motherboard itself?

In theory, they usually carry a decal or, failing that, on the motherboard, look and tell me.
