My HP stream Notebook has only 30GB size hard desk!!. Its type is Hynix HBG42 29GB hard disk. I'm continuously facing the issue of low disk space in Drive C and the continuous popup messages asking to free space. I installed a MicroSD memory card in the special slot of this Notebook and using the setting, I enabled all data and new application installation to use this card which was setup as Drive D. However, this didn't solve the issue. I searched the internet on how to increase the Drive C size, but all stressed that the additional space has to come from the hard disk where drive C exists!! and in my case there is no additional space. I also tried the Windows 10 Utility Disk Management but it didn't work also.
Appreciate any help to enable me increase the notebook disk drive using the added MicroSD card, or any other media like USB flash drive, or any effective solution to increase drive C size.
Thanks

@Thamer-KSA Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that you are getting a low disk space error.
Follow the below steps to resolve Low Disk Space issues:
-
Run the Disk Cleanup tool, and then at the bottom of the window that pops up, click on "Clean up system files". Check everything, hit OK, and let it run. You will free up several GB for sure.
-
Another thing to do is disable hibernate file. Run CMD as Administrator, and type the following:
-
powercfg hibernate off
-
Enjoy your extra space!
