I have an HP Envy x360 15m-cp0011dx that has a slot for reading SD cards.  When I insert my standard size SD card, it needs to be physically held in place fully inserted with force in order for the computer to actually read it, as if the card is too small or the slot too big. All computers i've used previously have read my SD card simply by partially inserting the card without holding it in place. Am I inserting the card incorrectly? Is there an adapter I need?

It has onemicroSD media card reader. I've got no idea how you can insert a standard SD card to this slot because it physically won't fit. Please do not use standard size SD cards, this may damage the reader. Please use microSD cards only. I'm using the following card on my machine.

Samsung MB-MC128GA/APC Micro SD EVO+ 128GB Mermory Card w/Adapter

You can see it has 2 parts: (a) the microSD card itself and (b) an adapter (grey). You don't need adapter on your machine, just use the microSD card directly. And push-push will work the same way as normal SD cards.

Regards.
