Hi,

Your laptop did not come with Bluetooth hardware from factory:
https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03068260

It is usually shown in Wireless Connectivity column in specs

Your laptop only has Broadcom 4313AGN 802.11a/b/g/draft-n WiFi adapter with no Bluetooth.

Manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03043778

Drivers: Intel and Ralink Bluetooth drivers are listed
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-dv7-6b00-entertainment-notebook-pc-seri...

You can either replace the card with WLAN + Bluetooth combo card listed in Page 29 like this:

Ralink RT3090BC4 802.11B/G/N 1×1 WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR Combo adapter (BT3.0+HS ready) : 630705-001

https://www.ebay.com/p/Ralink-RT5390BC8-802-11-B-g-n-WLAN-Bluetooth-Half-Mini-WiFi-Card-HP-630705-00...

Or use Bluetooth dongle:

Dear Visruth:

This is Andrew Wissler again.  Can I replace the card while continuing to use the Broadcom adapter?

Thanks,

Andrew

I should rephrase my question.  Can I just add the card while continuing to use the Broadcom adapter?

You're replacing the current WiFi card with WiFi+Bluetooth combo card. So that is going to give you same result as buying Bluetooth adapter dongle. So what are you trying to do?

I'm actually trying to install an HTREVERSE Replacement Barge HR Activity Tracker that I bought on Amazon, which is supposed to sync with a Fitbit Charge 2 that I have.  I'm installing this on an HP Pavilion dv7-6b32us laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium.  Whenever I install the driver, it comes up under the category of "Unspecified," and says "Fitbit Base Solution."  Whenever I try to connect my Fitbit to the software, it doesn't seem to recognize that my Fitbit is close to the computer.  Sometimes, when I try to connect, the software just crashes.

As I'm writing this, the Fitbit seems to work.  Thank you very much for your assistance.  it was greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Andrew Wissler
