Hello everybody
I bought my notebook HP Pavilion 14-ce1008tx and I want advice about how to keep the battery for a long time. usually, I use the notebook in my room but the battery is builtin which means I can't remove it while I am using indoor so I am confused can I used it with the plugin adapter in a notebook without affects the battery? or I need to connect it with the adapter until 100% recharging and remove it and use the notebook until the next recharging and so on?
I heard about some software can help to use the notebook with connecting with the adapter which helps to cut the power on the battery to prevent any damage over time. How to deal with this issue?
waiting for your reply
thank you

Don't sweat it. If AC power is available use it. Its an urban myth that you should not keep it plugged in after full charge. You shorten the life if you constantly charge and discharge as you register cycles on the battery and it is designed to fail when the cycles get too high. Try not to let the charge drop below 15% as this can put serious wear on it. But the rule is use the battery when you must; use AC power whenever you can. There is no problem with say discharging to 70% then topping off then discharging down to 15% then recharging. Its Lithium ion so no memory effect and it has a smart chip that shuts off power to the cells when the battery is fully charged. Enjoy and good luck.
