Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

How to keep number pad on permanently so that workflow is not interrupted when accidently bump up against num lock key.

Setting a  2 value in registry file only initializes the number keypad to ON state but it doesn't disable the numlock key.

There are no options in the Bios to disable the num lock key

Hi,

I guess you could try mapping it to a different key with application such as Sharpkeys

Hope it helps,

David

I'll try it out and let you know.

There is a feature in the windows 10 keyboard settings where pressing num lock   caps lock or scroll lock will make the beeping sound. So if you press the key by accident you'll hear a beep.  And the num lock on /num lock off beep sounds are different so while not an efficient solution it's useful ..
