Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello forum,

I bought my new laptop today.

I'm concerned about the laptop heat that could harm the hardware and reduce it's usage life.

Can I use Hp Cool sense software for my model HP da0077tx? If not please suggest some software the monitors my laptop's temperature and alerts when it becomes enough hot to damge the hardware.

thanks in adanvce.

Just today one of the employees in my office has decided he is going to run his laptop like a desktop but run it inside a desk drawer. I expressed concern about heat and he wants a clean desk so we compromised and I had him download a little app called speedfan:

I have had speedfan on every laptop I have owned for years. Its a pretty sophisticated little program and you can configure it to run in the background. It takes very little resources and can be set to throw off alarms if temperatures get too high. By default it is set to be too sensitive in my opinion. Temperatures up to the low 80s present no real problem and you can see my idle temps above are in the 30s and 40s which shows I have a very clean cool running machine.
